In January the Moscow subsidiary of the First Cargo Company increased throughput by 35% YoY, to 173 thousand tons.

The main cargo was ferrous metals, scrap, chemical and mineral fertilizers.

The increase was due to the high demand for ferrous metals and scrap on behalf of the machine-building enterprises of the Central and Southern districts of Russia. The company also started exporting ferrous metals to Lithuania.

Ferrous metals throughput increased by 4% YoY, to 82 thousand tons, scrap – 2-fold, to 70 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
