In 2016 Mechel produced 4.252 million tons of steel, down by 2% YoY.
According to the company statement, pig iron output remained on 2015 level – 4.053 million tons, while coal mining dropped by 2%, to 22.683 million tons.
In Q4 2016 Mechel increased coal output by 1% QoQ, to 5.6 million tons, that of steel by 10%, to 1.125 million tons, and of pig iron – by 8%, to 1.041 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
