In 2016 Kuzbassrazrezugol enterprises mined 44.3 million tons of coal, including 6.2 million tons of coking coal. The annual output equals the 2015 results, but coking coal production increased by 7.2% YoY.
Coal sales decreased by 1.8 million tons YoY, to 39.8 million tons.
“This has to do with us increasing the coal processing. Thus we supply less coal, but of higher quality”, the group deputy commercial director Alexander Pronkin said.
Last year Kuzbassrazrezugol exported 28.6 million tons of coal (72% of the total deliveries) and supplied 11.2 million tons to local consumers (28%).
In 2017 the group intends to increase coalmining to 45.7 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
