Mechel-Service, the metal-trading company of Mechel, has sold 3 thousand tons of metal from its new warehouse in Vladivostok.

The new site started operating in November 2016. It is the 59th warehouse of Mechel-Service in 43 cities of Russia.

The main consumers of metal in the region are construction companies and ferroconcrete manufacturers, followed by shipbuilders.

In particular, the Vladivostok site has started supplying rolled metal for the construction of the Zvezda submarine repair plant and the agricultural complex in Ussuriysk.

“The average monthly consumption in Vladivostok is estimated at 8-12 thousand tons of rolled metal for construction. 4-8 thousand tons more go each month to Kamchatka, Chukotka, Sakhalin and Magadan. Having opened the warehouse in Vladivostok we plan to attract clients with a good range of products and constant availability”, Mechel-Service commercial director Igor Dorozhkin said.
