Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works has started constructing the smoke desulfurizing complex withing its sintering factory gas-purifying system upgrade.
The 900-million UAH project will decrease sulfur pollution by 43%.
At present the work is being carried out at sintering machines No. 7, 8 and 9.
Total investments in the sintering factory upgrade will amount to $220 million. (Ukrainian metal)
