In November Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works, a part of Metinvest, started producing angles of two new sizes.
The products are intended for the local market and are sold through Metinvest-SMC network.
90x90x6 mm and 40x40x3 mm angles are produced according to DSTU 2251-93/GOST 8509-93. They are used in construction and machine building.
The first 130 tons have already been shipped to Metinvest warehouses. The local market of 40x40x3 mm angles is around 5.5 thousand tons per year, and of 90x90x6 mm – 1.7 thousand tons.
In July EMZ started producing 110x110x7-8 mm angles according to DSTU 2251/GOST 8509 and intends to sell some 2.5 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
