Zaporizhstal calls on the government to create conditions to attract investments into the river transportation infrastructure to efficiently use the river Dnepr potential.
According to the company statement, there are 10 river ports along the 1 thousand km of the Dnepr, and yet only 0.5% of the total cargo in Ukraine is transported via rivers.
“We need real investments in the infrastructure for river transportation within the whole strategy of transport infrastructure development. We have to develop this strategy and attract investments with the government support”, Zaporizhstal sales director Vladimir Kolomiets said. (Ukrainian metal)
