Steel rope and wire producer Silur in Khartsyzsk has been idle since late September.
For the past 2 years the production has been stopped a couple of times.
Now the employees worry that after the latest halt the operation will not be resumed.
During the Silur halt its employees received 2/3 of the wages. The works is a subsidiary of the Odessa-based Stalkanat-Silur and pays taxes to the Ukrainian budget. (Ukrainian metal)
