In January-October Ukraine exported 240.22 thousand tons of scrap valued at $42.31 million, down by 78.6% and by 84.3% YoY respectively.

According to the State Fiscal Service, scrap was not exported in July-September, with 6.8 thousand tons exported in October.

The decrease has to do with the temporary prohibition of scrap exports.

In January-October Ukraine imported 18 thousand tons of scrap valued at $6.64 thousand, up 8.4 times and 2.9 times YoY respectively.

The main suppliers of scrap were Turkey (60.39%) and Slovakia (33.19%), with Turkey being the main consumer as well (99.65%). (Ukrainian metal)
