During her visit to Kandalaksha the Murmansk region governor Marina Kovtun got acquainted with the project of Kandalaksha Aluminum Works casting division modernization.
A new wire rod rolling mill has been assembled at the works and is now being prepared to be put into operation.
According to KAZ general director Andrei Terentiev, the project will be finished by the year-end. As the result KAZ aluminum and alloy wire rod capacities will almost be doubled – to 51.7 thousand tons per year, allowing the company to increase the range of consumers. (Ukrainian metal)
