Within the framework of complex ecological modernization of the blast furnace manufacture Zaproizhstal has put the blast furnace gas-purifiers working cycle cooling tower into operation after a major overhaul.
Investments into new machinery totaled 30 million UAH.
The new cooling tower, produced by Yerushalmi Water Cooling Towers Ltd (Israel), will decrease fresh water withdrawal from the river Dnepr, decrease waste water discharge and allow recycling more raw materials.
The new cooling tower has the capacity of 4 thousand cubic meters of water per hour. (Ukrainian metal)
