In 2016 Poltava Mining and Processing Works intends to slightly increase pellets output from the last year level of 11.6 million tons.

According to PGOK chairman Victor Lotous, in the first half of the year the company decreased overall pellets output, but increased pellets output of its own ore by 200 thousand tons YoY. He said, in future PGOK could stop buying ore and would only produce pellets of its own ore. Last year the company bought some 3% of the concentrate in Russia.

In January-June PGOK increased 65% Fe content pellets output by 15-20%. It wants to increase sales of such pellets to Japan, Germany and Austria. (Ukrainian metal)
