Lviv Coal Company owns the only processing factory in the region – Chervonograd Central Processing Factory.

Despite the almost monopoly status of the factory its main problem is that its major clients – Lvivugol and Volynugol – most of the time fail to deliver enough coal. Because of this the factory stands idle and cannot pay bills.

Last year Alfa-Bank sued the company for its debt of 11 million UAH and started bankruptcy procedure.

In mid March the Lviv Commercial Court of Appeals supported the 70 million UAH claim of Lvivugol to Lviv Coal Company. Taking into account other claims, the state has a good chance of controlling the bankruptcy procedure of the processing factory.

Thus within legal field factory assets could be given to Lvivugol making it self-sufficient in terms of productivity. (Ukrainian metal)
