Group DF has invested $115.7 million into Motronovsky Mining and Processing Works.
The center of the project is the construction of ore quarry at the Malyshev deposits of zircon-rutile-ilmenite sands, as well as the construction of the mining and processing complex to produce zircon, rutile and ilmenite concentrates.
“Now we are constructing the quarry with the annual capacity of 2.7 million cubic meters of ore. The first output is scheduled for Q4 2017. To finish construction we will need some $186.7 million more”, said the GOK director Alexander Laznikov.
The works will be able to produce 120 thousand tons of ilmenite concentrate, 14 thousand tons of zircon concentrate and 20 thousand tons of rutile concentrate per year. The construction started in 2014. (Ukrainian Metal)
