Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal invested over 90 million UAH into Mariupol development on 2015.
Metal makers have completed 89 projects aimed at the reconstruction of the infrastructure, housing, hospitals, schools and kindergartens, damaged by the shelling.
The day after the Vostochny subdistrict of the city was shelled, metallurgists started restoring it. The works sent 9 million UAH for repairs and gave 3 million UAH to citizens for their own repairs.
For the reconstruction of the railroad bridge over river Kalchik, blown in late 2014, Metinvest gave 14 million UAH.
Employees of the Ilyich works helped rebuild 124 private houses and put 800 meters of asphalt on damaged roads.
Azovstal carries on its capital repairs of the city hospital.
The works spent some 3 million UAH to prepare 7 kindergartens and 12 schools for the new school year. 5 million UAH were spent on children and sports grounds. (Ukrainian metal)
