The minister of energy and coal industry Vladimir Demchyshin has ordered the Novogradskaya Mine 1/3 of Selidovugol to be privatized.
“Demchyshin has signed some orders to take the best mines and privatize them and destroy the rest. Three out of four Krasnoarmeyskugol mines will follow”, said the Independent Miners Union of Ukraine chairman Mikhail Volynets.
The minister has signed such a decree as to the Pervomayskugol mines as well.
“Neither of the decrees has been approved by the unions, so they are illegitimate. And the unions will try to cancel them”, added Volynets. (Ukrainian metal)
