In January Ukrainian metal companies increased carbon steel output by 3.4% YoY, to 1.93 million tons.
Pig iron output totaled 1.92 million tons, up by 11.6% YoY, while that of rolled metal went down by 5.6% YoY, to 1.62 million tons. Metallurgical coke manufacture rose by 20.6%, to 1.08 million tons, but that of pipes fell by 50%, to 40.8 thousand tons.
Average daily steel output continued to grow from 62.1 thousand tons in December 2015 to 62.5 thousand tons in January. (Ukrainian metal)
