Ukrpromvneshexpertisa believes ferrous metals scrap prices on the local market will fall by 18.26% YoY, or by 670 UAH, to 3 thousand UAH per ton.
“In 2015 the average price was 3670 UAH per ton, while this year we expect it to be 3 thousand UAH”, said the company marketing department director Yuri Dobrovolsky.
According to him, the prices will fall, first of all, because of the rolled metal price drop, as well as the expected decrease of iron ore prices.
The company also predicted that in 2016 ferrous scrap procurement in Ukraine would decrease by 9.76% YoY, or by 0.4 million tons, to 3.7 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
