Metallurgprom believes Ukraine will produce 1.8 million tons of steel, 1.5 million tons of rolled metal and 1.8 million tons of pig iron in February.
At present Donetsk Electrometallurgical Plant and Donetsk Iron and Steel Works are idle. As of January 1, Ukraine operated 22 out of 30 blast furnaces, 7 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces and 15 out of 21 converters.
For January Metallurgprom forecasts were 2 million tons of steel, 1.8 million tons of rolled metal and 2 million tons of pig iron. (Ukrainian metal)
