Because of the Chervonograd Processing Factory, 63% of which is privately owned, Lviv mines cannot work full time, said Lvivugol acting CEO Andrei Dyachenko.

3 mines of Lvivugol mine coal, that needs to be processed. And the only processing factory in the region is the Lviv Coal Company, known by its previous name – Chervonograd Processing Factory.

“Its unstable operation makes us look for new sales markets, as the three mines without processed coal will simply shut down”, he added.

If Mezhirechenskaya, Vozrozhdeniye and Chervonogradskaya mines stop operation, 5 thousand people will become jobless.

“The factory is in a very complex situation. It used to process 150-200 thousand tons of coal per month, but now it handles just 100-600 tons. Sometimes it can process up to 2 thousand tons. In December 2015 we sold 68 million UAH worth of coal, while the factory earned 25 million”, explained Dyachenko. (Ukrainian metal)
