In 2015 Ukraine mined 39.75 million tons of power-generating and coking coal, down 1.6 times YoY.
According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, this was the result of the military activities at Donbass.
6.74 million tons, or 16.95% of the total volume, were mined at the state mines.
In December 2015 Ukraine mined 3.38 million tons of coal, with 576.4 thousand tons yielded by state mines. (Ukrainian metal)
