By 2016 Zaporizhstal plans to ship some 700 thousand tons of metal via the Zaporozhye river port.
The company was able to keep its supply volumes on the last year level thanks to the navigation season being extended till December 20. This will allow the works to ship some 50 thousand tons of products and save 3 million UAH on logistics.
Zaporizhstal resumed its cooperation with the river port in October 2012. Since then the works has shipped around 2 million tons of metal products via the port. Zaporozhye products make up 80% of all the port exports. In 2015 Zaporizhstal exported via the river port to Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. (Ukrainian metal)
