A decree has been registered in the Parliament that presupposes the allocation of funds to compensate the salary debts and pay wages to miners this year.
The goal of the decree is to pay salary to all state mines employees in time and in full, by increasing the Ministry for energy and coal industry expenses by 841.36 million UAH.
Limitation of the state support has already resulted in salary debts to miners. If measures are not taken to finance the sphere, many mines could simply close down, and the whole coal industry would collapse with heavy social consequences in mining regions to follow. (Ukrainian metal)
