Workers from the mine named after Stakhanov in Donetsk region have gone on strike demanding the payment of the indebted salary.
“On November 16, miners didn’t start working. According to the Independent miners union, they had to go on strike, since they haven’t been paid their wages. The mine has paid only a quarter of the total salaries for September, and none knows when the rest, as well as October wages, will be paid. That’s why the miners stopped their work. By the way, they have informed the mine administration about their strike in advance”, said the Independent miners union of Ukraine chairman Mikhail Volynets. (Ukrainian metal)
