In January-October Ukrainian metal companies produced 19.11 million tons of carbon steel, down by 18.4% YoY.

Pig iron manufacture decreased by 15.6%, to 18.06 million tons, that of rolled metal – by 18.6%, to 16.7 million tons. Coke output fell by 25%, to 8.4 million tons, while steel pipe production went down by 41.1%, to 705.9 thousand tons, all YoY.

Thus the steel output has resumed its fall after a rise in August-September. And the average daily steel output started slowing down: to 66.3 thousand tons in October from 68.7 thousand tons in September.

In 2014 Ukrainian companies produced 23.79 million tons of rolled metal, 27.16 million tons of steel and 24.81 million tons of pig iron, all down by 17.7%m 16.9% and 14.8% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
