In 2012-2014 Zaporizhstal decreased gas consumption by 40%.
According to the company statement, in 2012 it used 331 million cubic meters of gas, with 236 million in 2013 and 206 million cubic meters in 2014.
That was due to the taking of energy efficient measures. In particular, in 2014 Zaporizhstal substituted the natural gas with coke gas, which resulted in saving 12.3 million cubic meters of gas. (Ukrainian metal)
