DTEK tries to take its anthracite coal from warehouses in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and not import it.

“Last year we got our fingers really burnt, when we brought expensive coal from SAR and received the tariff that only covered 70% of our expenses. So our principal position is not to import coal”, said DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko.

According to him now the company has some 2 million tons of anthracite on the temporarily uncontrolled territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. (Ukrainian metal)
