In January-August Ukrainian metal companies produced 15.04 million tons of steel, down by 24% YoY.
Pig iron manufacture decreased by 23%, to 13.96 million tons, that of rolled steel – by 24%, to 13.2 million tons.
Steel pipes output fell by 44% YoY, to 568 thousand tons, that of coke – by 30%, to 7.34 million tons.
In August Ukraine produced 1.92 million tons of steel, 1.72 million tons of rolled metal, 1.93 million tons of pig iron, 72.1 thousand tons of pipes and 1.06 million tons of coke, as opposed to 1.87 million tons of steel, 1.72 million tons of rolled metal, 1.84 million tons of pig iron, 68 thousand tons of pipes and 1.05 million tons of coke in July.
