Ukraine has blocked the transit of Russian anthracite to Moldova consumers through Odessa.

According to local importers, railroad cars with around 1 thousand tons of coal products heading to Moldova were stopped at the Ukrainian border.

“Some say, Ukrainian Security Service struggles coal smuggling through one-day firms from the terrorists-occupied territories of Donbass. But this coal is from a major Russian mine”, said a company representative, waiting for the cargo.

According to him, delays in fuel delivery affect winter preparation plans.

“We’re making coal stocks to supply the end customers. Changes in delivery dates and the overall uncertainty make us check alternative variants”, said the company representative. (Ukrainian Metal)
