In June ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 492.9 thousand tons of steel, down by 11.3%, or by 63.2 thousand tons YoY.

According to the company statement, its rolled metal output went down by 11.9%, or by 59.2 thousand tons, to 438.1 thousand tons, while that of pig iron decreased by 11.81%, or by 57.9 thousand tons, to 432.4 thousand tons, all YoY.

In January-June the works produced 3071 thousand tons of steel, 2710.3 thousand tons of rolled metal and 2712.6 thousand tons of pig iron, all up by 1.24%, 1.31% and 1.59% YoY respectively.

“In June AMKR halted its largest blast furnace #9 for essential repairs, that would last till August. Pig iron, steel and rolled metal output in June was higher than planned. Long rolled products market situation is still uncertain due to the price drop and low demand on local and export markets”, said AMKR CEO Paramjit Kahlon. (Ukrainian metal)
