Metinvest Group has opened a trade representative in Poland – Metinvest Polska.
According to the Group statement, Europe is one of the priority markets for Metinvest. The company supplies around 4.4 million tons of steel to Europe, or 34% of its total sales. Poland is the second largest consumer of Metinvest rolled metal. Poland consumes over 12.2 million tons of metal products per year, it imports up to 70% of its steel needs and exports half of its output.
Metinvest has been doing business with Poland for 10 years. The trading center in Katowice has been created to further develop contacts with local buyers.
Metinvest now operates 20 trade representatives and warehouses in Europe: in Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Great Britain, Romania and Bulgaria. The Group also has Metinvest Trametal and Ferriera Valsider works in Italy with joint capacities of 1.2 million tons per year, and Spartan UK with 200 thousand tons capacity. (Ukrainian Metal)
