Rusal president Oleg Deripaska said he hoped for the political decision in matters with Western sanctions and situation in Ukraine.

“We have several assets in Ukraine. They’re doing fine. But we have some legal disagreements as to Zaporozhye Aluminum Works. That has to do with the old story – with the merging with Rusal. We received this works from the merging, and it had some problems. Now we have courts. Let’s say the shares have been returned to the state. We have appealed against this. The works was put out of operation over three years ago. The government understands, that this is employment. We’re good taxpayers, we pay in time and make everything for the development. So we all look forward to a quick political resolution. That would remove the pressure on our economy and all the political issues in Ukraine”, he said. (Ukrainian Metal)
