In January-March Ukraine exported 1830.14 thousand tons of carbon steel semi-finished products, down by 33.7% YoY. Or down by 46.7%, to $703.7 million.
The main exporter of Ukrainian steel semis in the first quarter of 2015 was Egypt (24.09%), with Turkey (23.9%) and Italy (18.66%) following.
At the same time Ukraine imported 2.39 thousand tons of semis, down by 69.2%, worth $915 thousand, down by 79.9%, all YoY. The main supplier of steel semis to Ukraine in January-March was Russia (90.93%). (Ukrainian metal)
