Experts expect steel output in April on the level of 1.6 million tons, with 1.5 million tons both of pig iron and rolled metal.
At present the following metal plants are on halt: Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, Donetsk Electrometallurgical Works, Donetsk Metal Rolling Plant. In February Donetskstal and Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works stopped operating.
As of March 1st, 16 out of 30 Ukrainian blast furnaces were in operation, with 6 out of open-hearth furnaces and 12 out of 21 converters. (Ukrainian metal)
