ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has started producing 8, 10 and 12 mm diameter reinforcement bars for Israel. 5 years ago AMKR supplied its products to the local market, but now the company and its customers enter a new level of cooperation. Israel witnesses rise in construction and thus the high demand for reinforcement bars.

According to the marketing department of the company, it did a lot last year.

“We had three goals: to enter the Israeli market, and to start producing bent re-bars for Saudi Arabia and for East Africa. Israeli and Palestine markets are vital for us. And we’re ahead of China in terms of logistics”, say company experts.

The company carries a range of 11 new steel grades. This has let it keep the domestic market and find new clients in Turkey. 2014 saw the highest sales since 2009. (Ukrainian metal)
