In January-March Metinvest, Ukraine’s largest mining-metallurgical complex, decreased metal raw materials output.

In particular, the group of companies decreased coking coal mining by 1.39%, or by 35 thousand tons, to 2537 thousand tons, QoQ, and by 12.39%, or by 359 thousand tons, YoY.

Metinvest produced 8820 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate, down by 4.04%, or by 372 thousand tons, QoQ, or by 5.41%, or by 505 thousand tons, YoY.

Metinvest companies decreased steel output by 11%, to 2755 thousand tons, YoY, down by 7% QoQ.

Pig iron manufacture went up by 3% YoY, but dropped by 3% QoQ, to 2796 thousand tons.

The group also produced 2979 thousand tons of rolled metal, down by 4% QoQ, but up by 4% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
