In the first eight months of the current year the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the Ukrainian subsidiary of the global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 4.2302 million tons, up by 0.4% year on year, as announced by the company.

In addition, in the first eight months of the year ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih saw a 2.9% increase year on year in its finished steel output to 3.7009 million tons, while its pig iron production decreased by 0.4% year on year to 3.6771 million tons.

In August crude steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih increased by 1.5% to 562,400 tons, output of finished steel decreased by 1.55% to 488,400 tons, while production of pig iron moved up by 1.4% to 492,100 tons, all on year-on-year basis. (SteelOrbis/Ukrainian metal)
