Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal, a part of the Ukrainian mining and steel group Metinvest, has stated that it has suspended its supplies to Russia due to recent problems experienced at Russian customs.

Russia’s Customs Service has tightened controls on Ukrainian goods since August 14th, blocking the supply of products to the Russian market.

Zaporizhstal supplies about 15-17% of it annual production, or 45,000 metric tons of steel products, to the Russian and CIS markets. The steel producer supplies about 20-25% of its output to Europe. (SteelGuru)
