ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine’s biggest steel producer, raised finished roll production by 11.9% YoY in January-May to 2.417 million tons.
Crude steel production grew by 1.8% to 2.595 million tons and pig iron was up by 0.9% to 2.249 million tons.
The company produced 464,000 tons of roll, 504,000 tons of crude steel and 432,000 tons of pig iron in May alone.
ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih specializes in long products, in particular rebar and wire rod. Finished roll production grew by 13.3% in 2012 to 5.59 million tons. (SteelGuru)
