In August 2012 performance indices of Zaporizhstal improved as compared with July 2012. Volume gain in production of iron, steel and roll stock had been caused mainly by introduction of organizational and technological arrangements. 
The average daily hot metal production in August increased to 8,830 tons from 8,750 tons in the previous 7 months of 2012.
Coke consumption in August also decreased to 395 kg per ton of hot metal against an average of 405 kg in the previous 7 months
Metal charge consumption had been decreased to 50 kg per ton of produced steel.
A record level of 100,000 tons has been reached for granulated slag shipment in August against 50,000 tons in the previous 7 months of 2012. (SteelGuru)
