According to the data, issued by Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers, in the first seven months of the current year Ukraine registered a 2.9% YoY decrease in its finished steel product output to 16.210 million tons, a 3.2% YoY decrease in its crude steel output to 19.484 million tons and a 1.3% rise in its pig iron production to 16.791 million tons.
The country’s production of metallurgical coke in the given period went up by 0.17% YoY to 11.388 million tons. In the January to July period this year Ukraine produced 38.730 million tons of iron ore concentrate and 13.386 million tons of iron ore pellets, up by 2.1% YoY and 4.6% YoY.
In July Ukraine produced 2.053 million tons of finished steel products, down by 6.6% MoM, 2.552 million tons of crude steel, down by 8.6%, 2.281 million tons of pig iron, down by 6.1% MoM, and 1.585 million tons of metallurgical coke, down 2.4% MoM. (SteelOrbis)
