In the January to March period of the current year Ukraine’s exports of steel products decreased by 10% YoY to 6.1 million tons.
Ukraine’s rolled steel product exports decreased by 11.4% YoY to 5.4 million tons, including 2.3 million tons of semi-finished products, 1.6 million tons of flat steel and 1.5 million tons of long steel. In January to March 2012 Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by 4.5% YoY to 350,000 tons.
Exports of steel pipes from Ukraine increased by 15% in the given period compared to January to March 2011 to 520,000 tons. (SteelOrbis)
