ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Ukraine’s biggest steel producer, raised finished roll production by 10.3% YoY to 856,000 tons in January to February.
Crude steel production grew by 8.4% to 969,000 tons, and pig iron rose by 9.9% to 843,000 tons.
ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih specializes in long products, in particular rebar and wire rod.
Finished roll production fell by 8.7% in 2011 to 4.938 million tons. (Interfax)
