In January to April Ukrainian metallurgical companies increased their exports by 4.5% compared to the same period of last year to 8.356 million tons.
In particular, Ukrainian exports of semi-finished steel products increased by 0.9% to 3.733 million tons, its exports of flat rolled steel increased by 18% to 2.686 million tons and its exports of long steel dropped by 4.1% to 1.937 million tons all compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
On the other hand, in the given period Ukraine’s ferroalloy exports decreased by 20.8% and its scrap exports declined by 47% YoY. The respective figures in metric tons were 341,000 and 115,600.
In January to April Ukrainian exports of pig iron decreased by 1.6% to 529,000 tons. (SteelOrbis)
