It is reported that Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NZF), the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer, has announced that in 2010 it produced more than 914,000 tons of manganese ferroalloys, up by 39% YoY, and that in 2011 it plans to decrease its output to 878,000 tons.
For the implementation of its development program, in 2010 NZF invested UAH 300 million while in 2011 total financing is planned at UAH 314 million.
In 2009 NZF’s ferroalloys output decreased by about 19% YoY to 659,700 tons. NZF’s production capacities allow it to produce one million tons of silicomanganese per year, 250,000 tons per year of high carbon ferromanganese, and more than 15,000 tons per year of medium carbon ferromanganese.
