It is reported that in October Ukraine’s long steel product exports increased by 40.3% MoM to September and by 4.6% YoY to 498,400 tons valued at about $318 million, up by 66.4% MoM.
Ukraine’s main long steel export destinations in October were Russia (137,550 tons), Iraq (67,240 tons), Lebanon (33,240 tons), Jordan (33,020 tons), Romania (27,120 tons), Nigeria (26,350 tons), Belarus (21,570 tons) and Iran (16,410 tons).
In January to October Ukraine’s long steel exports increased by 19.5% YoY to 4.785 million tons valued at about $2.677 billion. Meanwhile, in October Ukraine’s long steel product imports went up by 2% MoM and by 134% YoY to 39,810 tons at a cost of about $38.94 million, up by 15.4% MoM.
The main long steel product suppliers to Ukraine in October were Russia (26,280 tons, i. e. 66% of total imports), Romania (3,010 tons), Bulgaria (2,840 tons), Belarus (2,470 tons), Poland (1,880 tons) and China (1,430 tons).
In January to October Ukraine’s long steel imports increased by 87% YoY to 313,470 tons valued at $283.9 million. (SteelOrbis)
