It is reported that in the first ten months of the current year, the Ukrainian flat steel producer Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works saw its crude steel production rise by 32.6% YoY to 4.585 million tons.
In addition, in January to October Ilyich finished steel product output went up by 28.6% YoY to about 3.2 million tons, its pig iron production increased by 32.2% YoY to 3.846 million tons, its agglomerate production grew by 40.2% YoY to 9.051 million tons, while its steel pipe output more than doubled to 65,800 tons.
In October Ilyich produced 540,000 tons of crude steel, up by 17.65%, 417,000 tons of finished steel products, up by 14.87%, 439,000 tons of pig iron, up by 19.3%, 1.054 million tons of agglomerate, up by 24.6% and 5,400 tons of steel pipes, up by 20% all compared to September. (SteelOrbis)
