In January to August Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal‘s finished steel product output increased by 1.25% to 1.843 million tons, while its crude steel production rose by 2.7% to 2.229 million tons both compared to January to August 2009.
In addition, the plant saw a 0.9% YoY growth in its pig iron output to 1.833 million tons and a YoY increase in its agglomerate production to 3.257 million tons.
In August Zaporizhstal increased its steel finished product output by 7.3% MoM to 249,000 tons, but saw a 2.4% drop in its crude steel production to 289,000 tons. Meanwhile, the company’s outputs of pig iron and agglomerate were at the levels of the previous month, i. e. 229,000 tons and 419,000 tons respectively. (SteelOrbis)
