Ukrainian iron ore producer Ferrexpo’s total pellet output fell by 8.7% MoM in August from the month earlier as the company purchase of third-party concentrate dropped 64%.
Total pellet production in August of 786,600 tons was lower than in July, but the total for the year to date was up by 16% to 6.5 million tons as the company tried to meet increasing demand for the steelmaking ingredient.
Production from its own raw materials in August fell by 2.4% from the month before but climbed 1.1% on August 2009. (Reuters)
