Deformed reinforcing steel bars produced by ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, OJSC received a “Best domestic product 2010” title after scoring high points in all the criteria considered – high product quality sales both on domestic and on foreign markets, positive feedback from customers, rewards received at other contacts etc. The Best domestic product 2010 contest was conducted during the industrial exhibition “Bright Ukraine” in Kyiv on August 17th to 19th.
Mr. Vasyl Kucher, Director for Quality of ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, said “This nomination is yet another confirmation of the great quality of our products that are certified by national standards not only in Ukraine, but in many other countries, overall it meets requirement of 21 different standards in 13 countries. Our products have high demand both on domestic and on foreign markets and are sold to 62 countries. I believe people of Kriviy Rih can be really proud of this fact; here, in our city, we produce steel bars that are being used in construction all over the world.”
Steel bars produced by ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih are used in multi-floor buildings construction and in construction of technically advanced objects such as famous artificial “Palm islands” in Dubai, new stadiums in Kyiv and Lviv that are currently being built for the Euro-212 football cup, new airport in Lviv and a new terminal at the Boryspil international airport in Kyiv. High strength thermal treated reinforcing steel bars are used during production of pre-stressed concrete. This kind of rolled product in addition to its high strength provides durability against stress relaxation and crack producing corrosion.
